Control Surface Penetration with Confidence
The EOD-1 Depth Control family includes two purpose-built systems to help reduce the likelihood of penetrating beyond the intended cut, providing greater confidence during delicate render safe operations.
The Twist Depth Control allows operators to precisely control the cutting depth of spiral bits including drills, burrs, and carving tools. Adjustable bearing shoes provide stable support while the depth cage allows adjustments as fine as 0.008 inches per pawl position, with a maximum cutting depth of 2⅛ inches.
Four interchangeable bearing shoes accommodate different tool lengths while maintaining rigidity close to the cutting surface, helping improve accuracy and operator control throughout the cut.
The Cutoff Wheel Depth Control provides infinitely adjustable depth control for cutoff wheels, miniature saws, and abrasive discs. An adjustment knob allows operators to precisely establish the desired stand-off while a lock nut increases rigidity once the desired depth has been set.
The system supports cutting depths up to ⅝ inch deep and accepts wheels up to 1⅝ inches in diameter, enabling consistent cutting depth regardless of barrier materials.

Twist Depth Housing
The Twist Depth Housing is a sturdy, lightweight assembly that allows operators to penetrate barriers with a rotary tool. Fine adjustments to cut depth increment as fine as 0.008″. An aircraft grade aluminum body ensures long field life.

The bearing shoes afford the operator a more rigid cut with spiral bits, burrs, drills and end mills by supporting the bit close to the cutting edge. Made from dense and light-weight plastic material, the bearing shoes perform reliably under repeated use.
